THE RAILYARD

Concord, New Hampshire

Adaptive Reuse / Mixed‑Use Residential

Ed Wojcik Architect, Ltd. provided architectural services for The Railyard, a mixed-use redevelopment that transforms a former industrial site into a contemporary residential community. The project organizes housing, amenity spaces, and site circulation within a compact footprint, creating a cohesive environment that supports both residents and the surrounding neighborhood.

The design approach preserves the site’s industrial character while introducing modern building systems, efficient unit layouts, and durable materials suited for long-term residential use. Apartments are planned to maximize natural light and functional living space, with interior finishes selected for performance and ease of maintenance.

Shared amenities and outdoor gathering areas are integrated into the overall site plan, reinforcing connectivity and supporting a sense of community. Parking, pedestrian access, and landscape elements are coordinated to create a safe, navigable environment that aligns with local planning goals.

The Railyard reflects the firm’s strength in adaptive reuse, efficient residential planning, and the thoughtful transformation of underutilized sites into active, community-serving places.
